Saturday and Such

It is a typical sight to see beautiful flower beds at the Amish homes in our area.
This one is next door in our neighbor's front lawn.
Richard considers sunflowers to be "weeds" because that's exactly what they were in Kansas where he grew up and had to cut them out of corn fields.
Ever throw out old pumpkins and see what happens next year? This is one of several we have in our garden because of "old pumpkins". But I like pumpkins and gords, so...
Jack is curious about mostly everything as he explores the great outdoors. His nose is constantly sniffing...sometimes I wonder what he smells, and I probably wouldn't want to know most the time.

Happy Birthday Kelsey

Kelsey is three years old and we got together at the park to celebrate the occasion. Here she is showing off her "princess" shoes. I'm not sure if those, or the bubblegum machine were her favorite gift, but she sure enjoyed her party.

Corn, Fun, and Love

This week was "corn week" here at our house. Mike and Evie

with Evie Marie and Zane, Tim and Jaime with Kelsey and

Kallie, Laura (Kent was out with Penn View group), and

Richard, myself, and Susanna (did I forget anyone?) were

all here helping. It was much more fun doing it all together

with loved ones. Of course having our grandchildren here was

a special treat, although Jack got a bit weary with little hands

reaching for him. Kent and Laura helped us finish up the corn

on Saturday, and I'm glad it's done!

Next comes peaches!

Sunday Afternoon Nibble

We have a family of bunnies hiding out at our place, and to my delight, I found this little one out enjoying a Sunday afternoon nibble in the grass. So I quietly hurried to get my camera, and got this picture. (Not bad, hey Amy?!!)

About Little Treasures

As you can see, I still haven't gotten the hang of doing this blog thing right.
But anyway, here's a couple pictures of my granddaughters here in PA.
They enjoy coming to Nana and Papa's house, and of course, we enjoy
having them here. One of the joys of being in Pennsylvania instead of
Michigan is that we are near these two darlin's and see them often.
I hope to get pictures of my other two grandkiddies this week when Evie
and Mike come for a couple days. We plan to be in corn up to our "ears".
Thankfully, Evie and Jaime and Laura will be here to help.
