Here and There

Saturday we drove the 4 hour trip to our daughter Evie's in Ohio, stayed overnight, went to church with them Sunday morning, and that afternoon headed back for PA. We brought Evie and children (Evie Marie and Zane) back with us. They will stay through the week and Michael will come next Monday. So I get to enjoy my two Ohio grandchildren this week. That is a special treat.
Today Evie and Jaime and I went shopping, leaving all the kids except Kallie with a babysitter. Yes, it was enjoyable, except that sweet little Kallie was fussy and wanted Nana to hold her a lot. Good thing she doesn't weight a lot. But even so, it was enjoyable being with my two oldest daughters for awhile.
Then Kent and Laura were here for awhile this evening. Now the house is quiet, which I am enjoying.
This weekend, Thurday thru Saturday, is the annual IBA business meeting, banquet, etc. for Richard, being held in Lancaster this year. He and I plan to attend. Evie will hold things down here at home with Susanna and Jack. I am looking forward to a couple days of mostly being lazy and doing whatever I feel like while Richard is in meetings during the day.
I am loving the appearance of fall colors, the cooler days, not having to mow lawn so often, and the pretty mums we see all over. God is good!

I'm glad you are close enough to spend time with your children and grandchildren. Having family is one of God's biggest blessings.
