Early this morning we heard the barking of our dog, which isn't unusual, but this was an "insistent" barking.
Also there was a VERY prominent smell of skunk, even in our bedroom. Richard went to check it out, and
he saw two skunks playing around up the hill a ways. He got the gun and took a shot, but...
We are concerned that we don't have a skunk home in our back shed, because that's where the smell was the strongest. And I have SMELLED skunk around here before....so far I haven't SEEN any. If I happen to get a picture of them, I'll be sure to share it with you, but don't hold your breath.

I started smiling when I read the title of your post. Yikes!
Last time I thought I smelled a skunk I sent Logan into the building first to scout it out.
Jack has been wanting outdoors all day long to sniff out the situation. I smell skunk scent near our back door, so I wonder where all the fellow has been.
I believe I smell skunk...
